Fast, Easy, Little or NO Cleanup and Tasty - Manifold Meals

The perfect meals for on the road?

Lots of Jeepers swear by manifold meals. Some of the the more common food items made are burritos and other similar Mexican foods, Burgers, Hot Sandwiches, Hot Pockets and more.

Many people just wrap their food up in aluminum foil and some have fabricated some very nice underhood items like ovens and baskets to keep their food from falling out onto the trail.

Its not a perfect science because of variables in time and temperature in my opinion but if you do get it "right" your meal will be ready to eat when you arrive at that lunch stop or your final destination at the end of the day.

Most of these meals will require some type of refrigeration or cooling to keep them from spoiling. Many people freeze them to help keep them cold in the cooler until ready to place under the hood.

There are only three disadvantages that come to mind. 1. Loosing your meal when if falls out of the engine compartment (some people avoid this by permanently mounting a custom made under hood oven).  2. Undercooking your meal. 3.  Overcooking your meal.

For more detailed cooking instructions/suggestions read the two books I've linked to or see some of the individual reviews by members that will be posted to this section soon.
