Equipment Reviews: BATTERY SAVER   by: Granit D-I-G-I-T-A-L

Here Is What THEY Say About It

Equipment Image
The Battery Saver is the most versatile battery charging device on the market. It not only charges batteries quickly, but it maintains, cycles, rejuvenates, conditions, tests, monitors and even alerts you when there are problems.  It can even check an entire vehicle's electrical wiring.

Our exclusive modular cable design provides extended runs to any car, truck, motorcycle, RV, ATV or boat.  Choose between our unique battery terminal connection, cigarette lighter connection or battery clip on connectors.   The bright yellow cable eliminates accidental disconnects.  Our easy mounting design allows for easy attachment either on the vehicle or to a wall.

Here Is What WE Say About It

Battery Saver – Charger, Maintainer, Tester (under $100)

Who here has a Jeep that sits idle unless it’s on the trail?   My TJ does and after a few days no matter what the battery is too weak to start it up.   After a week,  it’s just plain dead.

It has been driving me crazy for months and I have replaced my expensive high end battery three times this year.   No, I don’t leave all my radios and other electronics turned on but after talking to one of the reps for the battery company I found out what many of us probably do not know.   Many electronic devices still draw power even when they are turned off.   That includes my cell phone charger, my two laptop 12V power supplies, my radios, my stereo and more.   My solution was to either do a dual battery conversion (a total cost over $400) or keep it plugged into a trickle charger.

So with a budget for dual batteries at that time non-existent I tried the trickle charger.  The 2amp charge wasn’t keeping up with the drain and over a period of two months I burned up two trickle chargers.   I went to a full sized charger and kept it at 4 amps which did the trick.   I needed another solution and I found it at SEMA.

Battery Saver carries lots of cool stuff but I settled on their top of the line model.  Being a gadget kinda guy I was drawn to this first by all of the heavy duty yellow modular cables that came with this device,  its compact size and its bright yellow color.  What closed the deal was my talk with Frank Gabrielli the President of Battery Saver.

The features and benefits are too many to list all of them here so visit their website and see what they have to say.   I think that you too will be convinced that this device could be a best friend to your battery.   They also have a very similar device that charges and maintains without the testing features for under $70.   After 6 months time I will revisit this device with a more detailed report and perhaps buy a second one for my off-road trailer.

This is the actual product that I got at the SEMA show.              Two months later, I LOVE it !
