COBRA 25 WX NW ST CB RADIO W/ NIGHTWATCH AND WEATHER

This is what THEY say about it:
COBRA 25 WX NW ST Compact Professional CB Radio with Nightwatch and Weather

Image For over 50 years of excellence in the CB category. The NightWatch series of CB radios continues Cobra's proud and unmatched tradition of enhancing performance with safety and convenience for professional drivers. Radios with Nightwatch technology fully illuminates the radio's function settings for easy viewing at night. The unique, solid-state, electro-luminescent backlighting is powered by a dedicated integrated circuit to maximize night vision while minimizing eye-fatigue. The variable dimmer control adjusts to all lighting conditions. The picture to the right shows what it looks like by day, the picture below shows how impressive it looks at night.
  • SoundTracker® System - Cuts noise up to 90% for clearer communication
  • NOAA Weather & Emergency Alert - Be prepared for storms and emergencies with built-in NOAA radio receiver.
  • NightWatch® Electroluminescent Front Panel - Fully illuminates radio’s function settings for easy viewing.
  • Instant Channel 9/19 - Immediate access to emergency channel 9 and information 19
  • Dimmer Control - Adjusts brightness of the front panel, channel display and signal strength meter
  • 4 Watts Power Output - Maximum power allowed by law for extended range of communication.
  • 40 CB Channels - Full channel coverage

Here Is What WE Say About It:

Image Cobra has been making the model 25 for years! People continue to buy it because it gets the job done and is full of features. This compact "little brother" of my favorite Cobra 29 really isn't that little but if you are cramped for room in your Jeep, this radio is about an 1 1/4 inches narrower than the Cobra 29.

As CBs go, this one shares features with many other CBs such as Volume and Squelch controls, CB/PA switch, instant channel 9 switch (a worthless feature in my opinion as I don't know of too many people that monitor channel 9 and the CB really doesn't have the range to reach the typical 911 center), channel indicator, power meter and microphone.

In addtion it has Night Watch which lights up your radio and controls in a pleasing blue color for ease of use after dark (a must for night time driving in my opinion) . The Sound Tracker feature is used to maintain quality reception. And last but not least the NOAA Weather Radio with weather alert will keep you up to date on short and long term weather forecast and instant weather alerts (Weather Alert feature is very cool-even if your radio is turned off (still has to be connect to power) and an urgent weather warning is issued, Weather Alert will still broadcast the alarm for you to hear).

The Cobra 25 WX NW ST is an excellent choice for a CB in the $100 price range. It has all the basic features plus some of the nicer high end ones. The 25 is quality built from a name syonymous with CB radios and electronics for over 50 years. This radio has passed the test of time. For a few dollars more than the basic version, the Cobra 25 with Nightwatch, Sound Tracker and NOAA Weather is the one to buy when you don't have the space for the larger Cobra 29.

My son has this radio mounted in his CJ7 for over 15 years and has had nothing but excellent service from it!
