              STATE CHAPTERS

One item of "business" we've talked about in the past was creating State Chapters. Several times a year we get emails saying "if only I lived closer to you guys in Arizona". Truth is we have members in all of the southwestern states and a few more scattered about in a total 20 other states and 4 countries, still over half of our members live in Arizona or California.

As we approach our 15 year anniversary, we currently have Chapters in Arizona and California

As you will notice, there are only flags listed for just the western states below. We don't want to sound snooty or anything but I am from the east coast and they just don't have the trails and public lands that we are blessed with out west. I could be wrong and someone from PA, MD might just start a chapter and do an Expedition into the Appalations or to Asseteague Island (I've from PA and we actually have two members from PA who live in AZ several months of the year to escape the cold weather and snow). If by some luck we get a chapter in a state other than those already shown, you can bet your flag will end up being a chapter decal too! We require 10 members in a state to get a chapter going for that state and have a state specific decal designed.

You're asking, how does this work? Well it should be pretty simple. We've already registered as a corporation, we've built the infrastructure, web site, member forums and the organization. It's all been done for you. For your state, it's quite simple:
  • We are a non-profit club NOT a business
  • We are ALL volunteers
  • We are a JEEP Club, that means Jeeps ONLY!
  • Chapters and Chapter Members will follow all Jeep Expeditions By-Laws and SOPs
  • Send an email to membership@jeepexpeditions.org telling us you are interested in forming a chapter
  • Find 10 people in your state or your area that think like we do and get them to sign up (complete online member app, join member forums and pay dues)
  • You can plan your own Day Trips and Overnighters for your members
  • You can plan multiple day Expeditions for all Jeep Expeditions members to come join you
  • Your Expeditions will be listed on the Jeep Expeditions main web site along with all others
  • We'll set up a section for your state in the members only forum
  • We'll set up a web page in this section to your states chapter giving information about your chapter and a link to a calendar of events for your trips
  • Every member can have his Jeep posted in the Members Rigs section of the main website.
  • What more would you want? Well if there is something, just ask and we'll do our best to make it happen!
Once there is a chapter in your state, there will be a link created so that clicking on the state flag for your state will take a person to your states webpage and calendar of events. Arizona is the default state and at least for the forseeable future the main website will be that of those who live in Arizona or are not affilatied with any state chapters.

Click on your State Flag to see if we have a Jeep Expeditions Chapter in YOUR state yet. If we don't you can contact us about starting one or to put your name on a list to find out when there is a chapter in your state. Or if you live in a state that touches Arizona, join the original group because you are still within driving distance of many of our Expeditions throughout the American Southwest.

Jeep Expeditions is the PREMIERE Jeep Exclusive Expedition/Overland Adventure CLUB Anywhere!

Jeep Expeditions is a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Arizona.

The state recognizes us as a fraternal organization,  we prefer to say we are a club.  Our members and volunteers are dedicated to the exploration of   this great land  for the educational value, historical value,  scenic beauty, the geology, paleontology, the camaraderie of people who share the same interests and to escape the confines of civilization if only for a few days. Our organization and members adhere to the standards of "Tread Lightly" and "Leave No Trace".

Jeep Expedition Members enjoy adventures that vary in length from one day, a weekend, long weekend, week long, two weeks and like our Arctic Expedition in 2011, a full month. Don't worry, most of our trips are one day and two day trips. We are Family Friendly and we have a number of members who bring their friendly "Jeep Dogs".
