  TETON SPORTS OUTFITTER XXL COT

This is what THEY say about it:
    TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Cot

Image Finally, a cot sturdy enough for couples and large-framed people. Count on a sound sleep every night with the Outfitter XXL Cot. The sleeping area is bigger than a twin size mattress and supports up to 600 pounds without bowing or sagging. Rubber feet have been redesigned to provide better protection for tent floor, and the whole cot folds into a sturdy drawstring bag for carrying or stowing. Comfortable enough to use as a guest bed, especially when paired with the Outfitter XXL Camp Pad (not included).
  • Dimensions: 85" x 40" x 19"
  • Pack Weight: 26 lbs
  • Bed: Heavy-duty 600D Poly Canvas
  • Frame: Aluminum top surround
  • Legs: Steel Leg Assembly
  • Storage: Oxford with Drawstring Closure
  • Holds several hundred pounds without sagging or bending
  • Color: Black

Here Is What WE Say About It:

Do you really need a cot for camping? That is question you need to ask based on how comfortable you like to be when bedding down for the night and if you have enough room for all of your gear.

The answer for me is yes. They say you will be warmer at night with that volume of air between you and the ground (tent heater helps too). It does get you off the hard, lumpy ground and you won't have any small rocks bothering you at night.

The first time I used this cot was in an Navajo Hogan in Monument Valley. It was comfortable and it was a very nice size too. And, it was big! Weighing in at 26 lbs. in its carry bag, this isn't the lightest cot on the market, it might be the heaviest. A trade off you pay for its size. It is super heavy duty too. The steel frame means business and we had three of us weighing over 500 lbs. sitting on it and it didn't sag or budge one bit. The rigidity is due to the aluminum top surround which is a bear to get attached because you have to spread the top very tight in order to get the side bars into the top and bottom spreader bars.

Bottom line is you will get a very restful sleep on this cot. It's size won't make you clostrophobic, you won't have to worry about rolling off nor will you find yourself hugging the side all nite. If you have the room in your Jeep or trailer to carry one or two of these then it is something to consider.

I got mine at my local Sportsman's Warehouse. Go to yours, lay down in one and check out the Teton XXL pad and other accessories like the cot organizer and the gun sleeve. The Teton XXL Cot will set you back about $99 or online at:
