Here Is What WE Say About It Equipment Image

When I first saw this I wondered if this would be something I could use camping. Considering my stove of choice is the Iwatani 35FW, the same as pictured with the Mission Stove Frame on Cal-Mils website I wondered.

Finally I figured it out, this product would help the wind from knocking out the stove flame, the 12x12 grill bars on top would make a very stable platform for large and heavy pots and pans and it got the stove up off the cooking table. Of course it was something needed in my camp kitchen. Besides, I could cook toast or toast rolls on the grill part, a 12x12 or similar size griddle could be gotten for it and there were some neat accessories available for it such as a cutting board, spice rack and tong holder.

The first time some of my friends from Jeep Expeditions saw it the first reaction was "where did you get that" and next "I want one". They saw me cooking on it set up next to another butane stove sitting on my table. It was obvious that they too saw purpose in this great looking addition to my camp kitchen.

So does it meet my expectations in the real world of trail cooking? It does and more. When it comes to winds, it does the job in helping to keep the stove flames on the bottom of the pot and not blowing sideways. It is a super stable cooking surface for small and large cooking vessels alike and it looks good. I'm glad I decided to get the CalMil Mission Stove Frame and my next purchase will be for some of the accessories. While this won't make me a gourmet cook, but it will make my fellow campers think I know what I am doing.

If your serious and want the best for your camp kitchen, consider this product along with an Iwatani 35FW stove. They make a great pair!

I've found that most if not all of the accessories and the stove frame can be found on Amazon.com
