Here Is What WE Say About It:

You know what these are, right? The can opener your mom had and the one that you and I have/had. Plus my favorite from years ago the trusty old P-38.

Well that was then and this is now. I would show you a picture of my old camp can opener but besides being embarassing it was nasty looking. Old crusty food dried like a varnish on the cutting blade and even some rust. So, you can see what a new one looks like above but it won't look like that for long.

I first saw these on QVC a couple years ago. The demonstator showed a can opener just like my old one, gunk and all. I didn't realize it until then that the can opener I used and my mother used and probably her mother used too was not only hard to use but also could be harboring bacteria and other nasties. So I bought one. After using it and then going camping a few weeks later and using my old camping one I knew it was time to throw the old one away and replace it with Kuhn Rikon like I had at home in my kitchen, a decision I've never regretted.

So just like the ad goes, this is a safe can opener. No sharp edges on the lid or the can due to the unique way the Kuhn Rikon opens the cans. Even better nothing goes inside the can to touch the food. It's stainless steel construction won't rust or corrode. What we have here is safe, sanitary and long lasting.

Bottom line, this can opener is well made and will last years if taken care of. It's easy to clean, will not rust or corrode, won't breeak under normal use and will continue to look good over time. Best of all it leaves the empty can safe to handle and store in your trash bag and it won't put gunky/nasty stuff into your food. I have one in my camping gear box and one at home I use all the time. Be the envey of your camp, buy one of these, actually buy two and keep one at home. Where to buy? You can buy this ultimate can opener at Amazon.com or QVC.
