Here Is What WE Say About It:

Equipment Image Wow, "they" have a lot to say about these very functional but simple kitchen tongs.

First you are going to ask "why a set of two" ? Simple, this set of two was about the price of a single pair. I've found that cooking at home that a set of two or three is preferable to just one pair. Shorter ones are easier to use but the longer ones come in handy when reaching over a larger hot grill. With the fold and lock feature, a set of two really doesn't take up that much space with your camp gear than one.

Why red and black? I don't know, maybe to help you figure out which is the longer one........but wait, it's longer so maybe you can figure it out. With two colors though, things don't get boring for sure.

But the major question here for those of you that have never used silcone tongs or cooking utensils before is how do they perform? They perform great! The silicone is non-slip so they stay in your hands and most importantly the food stays firmly in the grip of the tongs until you are ready to put it down on your plate. The silicon on the grip part of the tongs keeps you insulted from heat unlike tongs that are just metal on the gripping surfaces. Probably the best part of silcone besides its non-scratching properties is that it is pretty much impervious to all but high heat. The average heat you are going to get in the kitchen or grill is well within the limits of the silicone. In the past few years of using these extensively, in my kitchen, on my grill and camping, I have never done any damage to my silicone tongs.

Bottom line, these tongs are well made and will last years if taken care of. They are easy to clean and grip much better than the cheap tongs you buy at the dollar store. The stainless steel "skeleton" will not rust or corrode and will continue to look good over time. I highly recommend getting a set of these for your Camp Kitchen. Where to buy? You can buy silicon and stainless tongs pretty much anywhere but I got this set at Amazon.
